The Northshore built, Vancouver 34 Classic, is one of the all time great blue water yachts. Ideal for single handed, couples or a small family looking for something special. Set up for short handed sailing with a cutter rig.

Everything about these boats breathes quality and gives a depth of feeling akin to sitting in your favorite armchair. That said these are not fussy old worldly boats, they will get you anywhere and bring you back safely.

Built to an exceptional standard by Northshore Yachts in 2004, "Fidra" remains in excellent condition and has been updated and improved in her current ownership.

Hull, deck & superstructure

The hull and deck are laid-up by hand using bi-directional mat with Isophthalic resin and substantially reinforced all around her long, encapsulated keel, the foot of which extends aft to provide support for the lower rudder pintle. This design helps keep ropes and debris away from the prop, while a cutaway forward helps manoeuvrability under power.

The topsides and deck of the Vancouver 34 Classic are sandwiched with end-grain balsa for insulation and weight reduction, and the hull deck joint is both through-bolted and bonded over for watertight integrity. Internal ply backing for high load areas.

  • Off white topsides and superstructure.
  • Treadmaster deck paneling.
  • Teak cockpit floor and seats / locker tops.
  • Lead encapsulated keel.
  • Pedestal mounted wheel steering. Leather bound stainless steel wheel with rope center marker.
