"Patricia" is an owner built, one off,  12m (approx.) steel hulled ketch.  She is being sold due to a bereavement and the price reflects  a lack of information and overall understanding of her equipment and state of readiness.  In reality she looks absolutely fine and was clearly built by someone with a good understanding of steelwork and what they were doing. As such she is likely to be a very good opportunity for someone to own.

As an interested party you will need to view her as she is being sold as seen as lying (You can obviously get a survey done prior to purchase). The information I have is limited to what is on this specification. The photographs are up to date.

Hull, deck and superstructure

  • Steel hull, deck and superstructure. The steel work looks to be in good condition.
  • Deep centre cockpit with wooden slatted seats.
  • Storage locker under the port seat.
  • Engine room access under the port seat.
  • Forward bulkhead has a large access door.

Deck

  • Good wide side decks secured by stainless steel pulpit, quarter pushpits, and stanchion posts with substantial guard wires.
  • The deck edge has a raised bulwark.
  • Substantial stainless steel bow sprit with separate roller for a mooring. Separate roller for stowing and setting the anchor.
  • Side boarding access gated port and starboard.
  • Stainless steel davits.
  • Substantial mooring cleats forward and aft.

Deck equipment

  • CQR style anchor with chain.
  • Lewmar windlass with side mounted warping drum.
  • 2 x Lewmar primary winches and 1 x Gib halyard winch.
  • Plenty of fenders and warps.
  • Boathook.

Rig, rigging and sails

  • Ketch rigged.
  • Single spreader spars set in substantial tabernacles with substantial stainless steel standing rigging.
  • Standing rigging looks to be in good condition.
  • Rotostay E, roller reefing headfoil system.
  • There are a number of sails stored in the aft cabin.  

Engine

  • The photos shown are recent and the engine looks to be in good order.
